U.S. Inland Model 1A1 Paratrooper Carbine with Sling
This is an example of a late WWII Model 1A1 Carbine manufactured by the Inland Manufacturing Division of General Motors fitted with an original GI paratrooper M1A1 folding stock. Inland Division barrel dated "4-44", "RIA" blade front and "I.R.Co." adjustable peep rear sights, "SI" marked Type III barrel band, round bolt, switch safety and "W" marked magazine catch. Paratrooper stock with 4-rivet handguard, low wood forearm, "RIA/ EB" boxed cartouche on the left side below the receiver, circled block "P" on the grip and folding wire buttstock with leather cheekpiece and checkered steel buttplate marked "8257614". With a green canvas sling.

Condition: Excellent as arsenal overhauled, with 97% of the parkerized finish remaining on the various parts, with 95% blue on the bolt, showing mild edge wear and handling marks overall. The stock is very fine, with a smoothed-out divot on the left side of the handguard, scattered dents and a few light scratches. A few dings and scuffs are visible on the otherwise excellent cheekpiece. Mechanically excellent.
