This is an example of a late WWII M1A1 Carbine manufactured by the Inland Manufacturing Division of General Motors fitted with an original GI paratrooper M1A1 folding stock. Inland Division barrel dated "4-44", "N" blade front and "H.I." adjustable peep rear sights, Type I barrel band, flat bolt, button safety, "H" marked magazine catch and "H.I." hammer. Paratrooper stock with 2-rivet handguard, low wood, uncircled block "P" on the : RI" marked pistol grip and folding wire buttstock with leather cheekpiece and checkered steel buttplate marked "8257614". With a green canvas sling and "KI" magazine.

Condition: Very good, with 85% of the original parkerized finish, showing some areas of bright edge wear, spotting and handling marks. Stock is fine as repaired, with a crack forming at the back under the hinge area, with light scuffs and pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
