Description: For your bidding pleasure is this antique, percussion cap, .69 cal. musket/rifle. It was manufactured by Harpers Ferry and is dated 1848. It was cut down to a 33” barrel. The butt stock has a nicely hand carved scene of an Eagle and a floral pattern on one side. Previous owner said he has shot it! We are selling this as an antique / curio item and not warranted safe to shoot. No FFL paperwork required on this antique, black powder rifle which was made pre-1898. We will only ship this item to the United States and only where it is legal to do so. Please know your local/state laws before buying. Maker: Marked, Harpers Ferry. Approx. Age: 1848. Size: Barrel measures approx. 33” with an overall length of 48 1/2”. Condition: Fair for its age, wear expected. Couple of small cracks in the wood, which appears to be original. Barrel cut down as mentioned above. Please look closely at the pictures - they are an important part of our description. Shipping: There will be a $15 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot. The actual cost of postage will be added on top of that.
