U.S. Harper’s Ferry percussion rifle, .54 cal., 33” barrel with bayonet lug, blue and case hardened finish, brass patchbox, trigger guard, butt plate, side plate and barrel bands, wood stock. This gun is in overall excellent condition showing a plum blue/brown patina to the barrel with scattered areas of erosion and pin prick pitting, silvery lock plate and hammer, very good bore, crisp action, good markings including the barrel dated “1851” and the lock dated “1852”; the stock is overall very good to excellent with scattered minor mars and scratches from carry and storage; sling swivels retained as is the flared end iron ramrod.
