U.S. Harper’s Ferry percussion musket with Maynard priming device, .60 cal., 33” barrel, wood stocks, lock dated “1861” and accompanied by a saber bayonet, leather sheath, leather frog and belt. This gun is in overall good to very good condition showing a brown patina on metal surfaces, crisp action, sharp markings, good bore, barrel also dated “1861”, iron barrel bands, two sling swivels retained, iron ramrod present, wood stock is in overall good + condition showing scattered old nicks, mars, and scratches from carry and storage, iron patchbox and US marked butt plate. The bayonet is approx. 28” overall with a very good US marked blade, brass guard and grip; the leather sheath is good with scattered cracking but complete and the stitching is approx. 80% intact; the frog is in fair + condition with leather strap and buckle and some separation at the point of one of two flaps attaching the frog to the belt which is in overall good condition showing both brass buckle sides and keepers.
