For your consideration is this scarce, Department of Agriculture Forest Service fire warning print, originally done by James Montgomery Flagg circa 1930-40s. Flagg used his famous and stern Uncle Sam figure to warn us of the dangers of forest fires. It shows Uncle Sam holding an axe and pointing to a large fire burning in the background. The print has been set in a black colored frame. The print and frame show good condition overall with wear to the frame but no signs of obvious damage. The visible print measures 18 1/8" L x 11 1/8" W, while the entire piece measures 19 1/2" L x 12 1/2" W x 1 1/8" D. It weighs 2 pounds and 6 ounces.
