The right side is marked "AUTOMATIC COLT/CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS". The left side of the frame is marked with the serial number. Correct magazine marked "PAT'D SEPT 9 1884" on the bottom and fitted with checkered walnut grips. Very good as refinished and converted from sight safety to no safety. The "US" has been removed from the left trigger guard. The metal surfaces have a smooth brown patina with 15% blue in protected areas and some signs of cleaning. The grips are very fine with some minor dings and nicks in the otherwise crisp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
