U.S. Civil War era Burnside Model 1864 (5th Model) percussion carbine, .54 cal., 21” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stocks, #17302 in overall fine condition showing considerable muted original blue finish on the barrel mixed with brown patina, muted original case colors on the receiver and hammer, near fine bore, crisp action, sharp markings, very good + wood with two sharp inspector’s cartouches on the left side of the butt stock at the wrist where there is also an old crack; a really good looking honest Burnside.
