U.S. Civil War Starr 1858 Double Action Army Revolver

Manufactured during the late 1850s and early 1860s. Blade and hammer notch sights with "STARR. ARMS. Co. NEW. YORK." on the left side of the frame and "STARR'S PATENT JAN. 15, 1856." on the right side. Matching numbers are present on the barrel lug, hammer and frame, with "H" and "W" inspector marks on several parts and faint cartouches on either side of the smooth one-piece grip.

Good, with 20% of the original blue finish, showing a brown patina overall, gray on the high edges and grip straps, and scattered pitting. A small crack is visible in the metal of the trigger guard ahead of the front screw. Grips are fair, with a chip absent from the left side near the top and a number of dents. Mechanically fine.
