The left side of the frame is marked with the one-line address and the right side has the one-line patent date. The inspector letter "M" and "C" are marked on most major components. The matching serial number is marked on the front of the frame, bottom of the barrel, on the cylinder and in the hammer cut out. Dovetailed blade front and hammer notch rear sights, blue finish with casehardened hammer and loading lever, and fitted with a smooth one-piece walnut grip with a clear boxed "SWP" cartouche on the left side and a boxed "STB" cartouche on the lower right side.

Fine as partially restored (cartouche remarked). The revolver retains 50% plus original blue finish mixed with smooth gray and brown patina. The grip is very good with some wear on the lower edges and some light handling marks. The cartouche on the left side has been re-cut, the right side cartouche is fading a bit. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
