Typed letter signed by American astronaut Michael Collins, who flew on both the Gemini 10 and Apollo 11 flights. The letter, dated 10 November 1972, was written the year after Collins became the director of the National Air and Space Museum. In the letter he asks the recipient to join a committee. Intimately signed ''Mike'', letter measures 8'' x 10.5'' and has expected folds from mailing; fine condition.
