1) Laramie Hotel corner cover on a Union Pacific circular stamp and star burst cancel. This fancy advertisement lists Philo Rumsey & Son as proprietors of the hotel and also the Sidney House in Sidney, Nebraska. Philo Rumsey is listed in the 1875 Wyoming Territory Directory as running the Laramie Hotel, which was right across the street from the train depot. 2) War department railroad mail to the Chief Signal Office of the U. S. Army in Washington D. C. Corner advertisement has a 4-4-0 steam engine with "War Department / Signal Service, U.S.A. / Railway Mail."
