This lot consists of: 1) WWI artillery Captain's service blouse with silver pin back aerial observer badge. The officer's blouse is a custom purchase uniform with "US" and field artillery insignia on the collar, and a silver Captain's insignia on the left sleeve. Two bullion overseas service chevrons are sewn on the lower left sleeve. The owner's name "Cpt. C.M. Gibson" is written on a tag in one pocket. 2) Aviation Staff Sergeant's wool blouse with aerial observer's badge. The custom purchase medium weight wool blouse has a Staff Sergeant's insignia with aviation wings and propeller sewn on the right sleeve, U.S. and Air Corps badges on the collar and two overseas chevrons on the lower left sleeve. A WWI overseas cap is tucked in one pocket. 3) One scrapbook consists of a combination of family and military photographs including many aviation related photos. The second book is a professional bound collection of WWI German anti-aircraft guns from 37mm-105mm. The photos are of guns and gun crews with German captions identifying the weapons. This is a one-of-a-kind reference work for WWI German flak artillery.

Condition: Both uniforms are in excellent condition, with some minor wear. The enlisted blouse is missing the lower pocket buttons. The first photo album is very good, and the second is fine with a few cut out and removed photos.
