Two World War II Italian Fascist Tropical Sun Helmets of the Style Used in North Africa and 11th Bersagleri Regiment Uniform Hat with Scarce Cloth Cover

1) Pith helmet, brown cloth covered cork construction with a metal covered top vent, a pair of mesh screened side vents, cloth trim. And "60/B" stamp on the interior. 2) Pith helmet outfitted for the 11th Bersagleri Regiment, as #1 with a plume of black capercaillie feathers on the right, brass unit crest backed with a red, white and green cloth cockade on the front, and a green interior stamped "58". 3) Italian uniform hat, black felt construction overall with a tan cloth cover on the brow and crown, with a plume of black capercaillie feathers on the right and a gold bullion and sequin 11th Bersagleri Regiment crest on the front of the cover. The interior is fitted with a black leather sweatband, a pair of rings for a chinstrap (not included), and a paper tag marked "59", "7 1/4" and "6". The Bersagleri started life as a highly mobile infantry unit, and made the transition to bicycle troops and mechanized infantry as land warfare evolved. The 11th Bersagleri was also the World War One unit of Benito Mussolini, "Il Duce" of Fascist Italy.

1) The chinstrap is broken, otherwise very good with some cracks in the cork sweatband spacers and minor stains overall. 2) Very good, with some cracking of the chinstrap, white spots on the back of the exterior, and mild handling marks overall. 3) Very good, with some light wear and staining concentrated on the cover. The unit insignia and feather plume are both very good, with a small stitched repair on the patch and mild fraying around the edges.
