A) Pre-64 Winchester Model 64 Lever Action Rifle. Manufactured in late 1936. Hooded ramp blade front and adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sights, standard markings with the factory proof on the barrel and receiver at the breech, all blue finish and mounted with a checkered forearm with steel end cap and pistol grip stock with a non-factory checkered steel buttplate.

Condition: Fine overall with 85% original blue finish remaining with a smooth brown patina on the bottom of the lever assembly, some muzzle and high edge wear, and a few minor scratches on the receiver. The front sight hood has some moderate rust. The lever has a smooth dark patina with traces of the original blue finish. The buttplate has a smooth brown patina. The wood is also very good as custom checkered with a few scattered minor scratches, dents and dings. The action is fine.

B) Manufactured in 1939. Standard markings including Winchester oval proof on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech and three line upper tang marking, ramped blade front sight (hood absent) and adjustable buck horn rear sight, all blue finish and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a serrated steel shotgun buttplate.

Condition: Very fine. The rifle retains 80% faded original blue finish, thinning to a smooth plum in areas, with flaking and wear on the receiver with smooth gray patina on the edges and underside. The buttplate has been refinished with most finish remaining and moderate pitting visible under the finish. The wood is also very fine with some overall scattered minor dings and scratches. Crisp and clear markings. The action is excellent.
