A) Manufactured during German occupation of Italy during World War II. The left grip tang is marked with a questionable "eagle/WaA162" German Army acceptance stamp and a "4 / UT" inspection marking (Italian 4th Technical Service). The pistol has the standard German occupation slide legend: "P. BERETTA-CAL. 9 CORTO-Mo 1934 -BREVET. / GARDONE V.T. 1944". Matching serial number on frame and slide. According to Beretta records, BB suffixed serial numbered Model 1934 pistols were manufactured for Nazi forces. Fitted with standard metal backed plastic grips with "PB" emblem.

Condition: Refinshed, with most of the blue finish remaining with some scattered minor pitting. The grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks. When magazine is out and slide is pulled back, barrel moves freely.

B) Sauer Model 38H Nazi Police Semi-Automatic Pistol with Holster
The pistol has the two line left slide logo ("J.P. SAUER & SOHN SUHL / CAL 7,65") and right slide marked "PATENT". Single "eagle/N" commercial proofs on the right slide of slide, barrel near the muzzle, and frame under the serial number. The clear "eagle/C" police acceptance stamp is located on the left trigger guard web. Magazine numbered to gun with a base stamped with the caliber marking and intertwined SS. Standard grips. Complete with an unmarked leather holster.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 90% original blue finish with some minor edge wear. The backstrap has a smooth gray patina and a few minor scratches, with the front grip strap thinning to a brown patina. There is a hairline crack on the bottom of the right grip panel, otherwise the grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks. The checkering is crisp. Mechanically fine. The holster is very good with some absent stitching on the belt loop and some minor flex wear.
