1) Similar to a military fork, it has a 25 inch iron and brass head. 1 tine is 13 inches long and curvy while the other is 3 inches long and blunt. The iron head transitions to a brass head of a mythical figure. There is a faceted ring socket of well turned brass. With a 55 inch round wooden shaft. 2) Possibly 17th century, this pole arm has an 18 inch long forged steel head fitted to a 66 inch round wooden shaft. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

Condition:
1) Very good, there is a dark aged patina on the iron and brass. There is a crack in the brass socket. The shaft has a few gouges near the top. 2) Fair, there is a dark brown patina with minor pitting overall and some areas of moderate pitting. There is one large chip along with four smaller chips on the blade. The replacement shaft is very good with some scattered minor scratches and dings.
