Two U.S. Swords with Scabbards
1) U.S. Regulation Model 1860 Staff & Field Sword manufactured by B.F. Haley. The sword has a 30 inch straight blade with acid etched decorations and makers marks on the left ricasso. Gilt brass guard and pommel, with a folding counterguard, floral and patriotic designs and a metal grip. Matching gilt scabbard. 2) Non-Regulation Model 1860 Pattern Staff and Field Officer's Sword by Pettibon. The sword has a 32" straight diamond pattern blade with acid etched patriotic designs and the makers marks on the left ricasso. Gilt brass guard, with raised eagle and floral designs, clamshell languet, and wire wrapped leather grip. With a nickel finished scabbard with gilt brass fittings.

1) Very good, with well defined etching and mild spotting and handling marks on the blade, strong finish on the brass, and original gold concentrated in the protected areas of the sheath. 2) Excellent, with some light handling marks on the blade, minor flaking of the leather, an aged patina on the exposed brass, and a few dents on the sheath.
