Two U.S. Simeon North Flintlock Pistols A) U.S. Simeon North Model 1819 Flintlock Pistol
Manufactured from 1819 to 1823. Lock plate has the unique sliding safety located behind the hammer and features the swivel iron ramrod. Lock plate dated 1822 and marked "S.NORTH" in a downward arc above the eagle and "MIDLTN CONN." in an upward arc below. Proofs are stamped on the left side of the barrel at the breech.

Condition: Good as reconverted to flintlock. The pistol has a mottled gray patina, with a smooth dark patina on the lock plate. There is some minor pitting with some deeper pitting on the barrel at the muzzle. The barrel band has some minor spotting. The stock is good with a minor crack on the left stock flat, a hairline crack near the barrel band, and some minor handling marks.

B) U.S. North Model 1816 Flintlock Pistol
Manufactured circa 1817 to 1820. Lock marked with an "eagle/shield" motif flanked by "U" and "S" above "MIDLN CON" in a upward curve. The left side of the barrel at the breech is marked "P / US". Has a swelled tipped wooden ramrod.

Condition: Good as reconverted to flintlock. The pistol has a brown-gray patina with some minor pitting and some scattered minor spotting. The cracked and repaired stock is fair with some minor handling marks. Mechanically very good.
