A) Produced in November of 1943. Blade front and adjustable peep rear sights with "BATTLE RANGE" marked elevation drum and locking bar. Springfield barrel dated "6 45", Winchester bolt, Springfield hammer, trigger housing and operating rod. Smooth pistol grip stock with a circled block letter "P" behind the trigger, "L" scratched into the right side below the windage knob and no other markings. With an unmarked green canvas sling and an U.S. Milparco M5A1 bayonet, 6 5/8" blade, black grip and "TWB" M8A1 sheath.

Condition: Very fine as arsenal refurbished, with 97% of the matte gray parkerization, showing scattered mild handling marks and some rough spots below the finish. Stock has been lightly sanded and revarnished, with dings, dark spots and a few tiny chips. Bayonet and sling are both excellent with minor wear. Mechanically excellent.

B) U.S. Underwood M1 Carbine with Sling, Magazine Pouch and Extra Magazines
Blade front and "H in shield" marked adjustable rear sights, with a "SI" marked Type III bayonet lug, unmarked barrel, round bolt, push-button safety, "WA" marked magazine catch, milled trigger guard, low wood stock, 2-rivet handguard, with a partial letter U/cross cannon proof in the sling slot. With a tan canvas sling, matching 1943 dated Updike Awning magazine pouch, and 2 extra magazines in original packaging.

Condition: Arsenal refurbished, with 95% of the parkerized finish, showing a brown patina on the frame and barrel, bolt with bright wear, matte black bayonet lug and scattered handling marks. Stock is very fine with a matching modern brown color on the handguard, with some chipping near the rear of the receiver and bayonet lug, dents and scratches. Canvas items are excellent, with minimal staining. Mechanically excellent.
