Two U.S. Navy Model 1872 Officer's Swords and an Ivory Handle Sword Cane
1) U.S. Navy 1872 Model Officers Sword, 28" single fuller blade with acid etched decoration. No makers mark is visible. Gilt finished guard, with cut-through decoration, wire wrapped grip, helmet pommel and gold wire saber knot with matching acorn. The sword has a regulation gilt brass fitted leather scabbard. Excellent, with some mild handling marks. 2) Ivory topped sword cane, 36 3/4" long, with a brass tip, black painted bamboo scabbard, brass reinforcing bands and a 4 1/4" tall, 1" wide straight handle with knobs. Blade is 31" long, "V" profile triangular, finished in blue. Good, with some cracking of the bamboo, age cracking and a fine color on the handle, and spotting on the blade. 3) U.S. Navy Model 1872 Officer's Sword, with Solingen makers mark on blade, simulated rayskin grip, and regulation scabbard. Excellent, with light handling marks.
