A) Late 1918 production 1903 rifle, blade front and folding ladder rear sights, with the Springfield barrel dated "8-18", and standard receiver markings. "S" style finger groove stock, with an altered handguard, boxed "P" on the wrist, "Y" in the magazine switch cutout, a faint cartouche on the left side ahead of the wrist, white plastic "40" inlaid into the butt, brown leather sling and a checkered buttplate.

B) Produced in July of 1943. Blade and adjustable peep sight, with "BATTLE RANGE" marking and locking bar. Barrel marked "SA-11-43", Springfield bolt, trigger guard, hammer, trigger housing and operating rod. Smooth stock with "P" stamped grip, "SA/ GAW" and Ordnance stamps on the left side ahead of the wrist, post-War leather sling and checkered buttplate.

A) Excellent as arsenal refinished, with 95% of the 1920/30 era finish remaining, showing a mixed gray patina on the floor plate with edge and high spot wear overall. Stock is very good overall showing an old arsenal refinish, but sound with no cracks, scattered scratches and pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.

B) Very good as arsenal refinished, with 98% of the matte gray, showing mild handling marks overall. Stock is very good, with some dents and scratches. Sling shows minor cracks and wear. Mechanically excellent.
