Two U.S. Military Bolt Action Rifles A) WWII U.S. Rock Island Arsenal Model 1903 Rifle
This is a standard late production Model 1903 service rifle that was manufactured at Rock Island and subsequently rebuilt at the outset of WWII. The top of the receiver is marked "U.S. / ROCK ISLAND / ARSENAL / MODEL 1903" over the serial number and the barrel is marked "SA / ordnance bomb / 42". It has a milled front barrel band, trigger guard and floor plate, and stamped rear barrel band. The stock is the correct WWI straight grip version with finger grooved and full matching handguard and a faint circled "P" on the bottom of the wrist.

Condition: Arsenal refurbished overall with 90% of a dark arsenal parkerized type finish remaining. There is some minor pitting on the bolt extractor. And the bolt is electro penciled "583692". The stock and handguard are both in very good condition showing the typical minor handling marks, pressure dents and dings overall. The markings remain crisp and clear. The action is fine.

B) U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1903 Mark I Bolt Action Rifle
WWI Model 1903 Springfield rifle made for the Pederson device with the distinctive cutout on the left side receiver wall. The barrel marking are "SA / ordnance bomb / 8-42", receiver markings are "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY / MODEL 1903 / MARK I / 1165603". It has standard blade front sight and tangent rear sight graduated to 2,800 yards, adjustable for elevation and windage. WWII straight grip walnut 1903 stock with finger grooves and full handguard with faint boxed "AA" cartouches on the left side.

Condition: Arsenal refurbished with 98% G.I. green parkerized finish remaining. The lightly sanded and refinished stock is very good with a few minor dents and handling marks. Crisp clear markings. The action is excellent.
