1) 32 inch double fuller blade, with the three line Philadelphia address on the left ricasso, an etched leafy vine on the spine, and scroll and armament themed etching on the sides. Gilt brass hilt, with cut-through designs on the guard, leaves on the pommel, and a bullion wire wrapped sharkskin grip. Metal scabbard, with gilt brass fittings. 2) 28 1/2 inch blade with double fullers and etched decoration, including oak leaves and naval designs. Gold-plated brass hilt, with pierced oak leaf and "USN" designs on the guard, scales on the knuckle bow, oak leaves on the helmet pommel, and wire wrapped rayskin grip. With a metal scabbard, sea-serpent motif on the drag and coiled rope pattern suspension bands.

Condition: 1) About good, with pitting on the blade, repair soldering seam marks on the middle of the knuckleguard, mild wear on the sharkskin and a mixed brown and gray patina on the scabbard. 2) Good, with a mixed gray patina and spotting on the blade, a repaired guard quillon, and mild wear on the rayskin. Scabbard is fair, with dents and minor pitting.
