The Model 1907 has a rotating barrel locking system and was the first self-loading pistol adopted by the Austro-Hungarian army, as well as the first successful double action automatic pistol. Marked "WAFFENFABRIK STEYR" on top of the rib, the serial number on the right side of the frame and the acceptance mark "Wn eagle 9" is on the rear of the frame. Fitted with serrated walnut grips.

Condition: Fine, with 90% faded blue finish remaining showing scattered extensive pitting on the barrel, light oxidation on the grip straps and scattered spotting. The grips are fine with scattered minor chips, nicks and dings. The markings are clear. The action is fine.

B) Steyr Model 1907 Semi-Automatic Pistol
Marked "FEGYVERGYAR BUDAPEST" on top of the rib, the rear of the frame marked with the "Wn eagle 12" acceptance mark and the serial number is marked on the right rear of the frame. Fitted with serrated walnut grips.

Condition: Fine as partially refinished. The pistol retains 85% of the original thin blue finish with some thinning to smooth brown and scattered minor spotting (mainly on the grip straps). There are a few scattered minor dings in the metal and an area of cold blue on the top left frame. The grips are fine with scattered minor nicks, scuffs and a few minor gouges. The markings (except the serial number) are highlighted in white and remain crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
