Two Southeast Asian Edged Weapons

1) Philippine kampilan-pattern bolo, 25 3/4 inches overall with a straight edged 19 3/4 inch blade, cast brass guard with wire accents and a hardwood sheath with cord wrapping. 2) Kris, 26 1/2 inches overall, with a 20 inch wavy edged blade (17 bends), an asymmetric base with filed decoration and a pair of silver bands. The grip section consists of alternating sections of twisted silver wire and gold washed brass rings, terminating in an engraved silver band and capped with a flared ivory pommel in a Fleur-de-Lis profile with carved border lines. With a solid brass sheath, the throat of which interfaces with the silver base bands, decorated with triangular diamond and horseshoe pattern stampings, inlaid silver triangle, "S", scroll patterns and a golden teardrop insert at the top of each side.

1) Good, with some pitting and chips on the blade. The sheath is chipped and cracked. 2) Good, with a dark patina overall, brighter color on the high points and mild wear overall. A small amount of play is present in the hilt fittings. Mixed aged patina on the sheath.
