This is the Model 1905, 4th Change which was produced between 1915 and 1942. Blade, partridge style front and notch rear sights. Marked "SMITH & WESSON" on the left side of the barrel, and "38 S&W SPECIAL CTG" on the right side. Two line address/patent dates are marked on top of barrel. S&W trademark is on the left frame of gun, and "MADE IN THE U.S.A." is stamped on the right frame. The numbers on the butt, barrel, and cylinder all match. Serrated grip straps fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Condition: Excellent with 98% the original blue finish with some minor spotting, some light muzzle wear and some scattered minor scratches. The grips are also excellent with very slight scratching and wear with crisp checkering. The trigger and hammer retain nearly all their original case colors. Action is excellent.

B) Introduced in 1950 and discontinued in 1993. Blade front and grooved rear sights. Built on the J frame with standard Smith & Wesson markings. Casecolored serrated trigger and checkered hammer. Fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Condition: Excellent with 98% the original nickel finish with scattered minor scratches and handling marks. All markings on the firearm are crisp. The grips are also excellent with some light wear and minor scratching with otherwise crisp checkering. Trigger and hammer retain nearly all the original case color. Action is excellent.
