Two Sheridan Export Beer Flat Top Cans c. 1940-50s
Featured in this lot is this collection of two vintage Sheridan Export Beer flat top beer cans from Sheridan Brewing company in Sheridan, Wyoming circa 1940-1950. The brewery was established in 1887 by Arnold Tschirgi, George Paul and Peter Demple. It survived Prohibition and continued in operation until 1954 when they discontinued the beer line. The brewery was torn down in 1994 and replaced by a park. The cans show a bright yellow base color with "Sheridan" in red lettering with a black outline. The top of the can reads, "Famous For Flavor" and below the Sheridan logo it reads, "Brewed From Choicest Material". On the very bottom of the can in yellow lettering it reads, "Brewed And Canned By Sheridan Brewing Co., Sheridan, Wyo.". Both cans have been opened but show good condition with no dents or creases present and clear logos. The cans measure a diameter of 2 5/8" and a height of 4 3/4".
