<Our item number 140103><B>Two Samoan Missionary Letters.</B> Two autograph letters written by George Turner, a missionary in Samoa, total of 6 pp. One is datelined Malua, Samoa, 1848, April 4, to the Rev. Henry Nisbet, missionary on Vaiee, another island in the Samoan group, thanking him for the box and letters, discussing death of &#34;our dear Bro Britten,&#34; arrival and departures on the island, mentioning the indecisive character of &#34;Mac,&#34; and enquiring about the location of the next general meeting. The second is datelined Newtown, Sydney, 1874, to the Rev. Dr. Nisbet on Malua &#40;Samoa&#41;, describing travels, other missionaries he has met, an adress to the Sunday School, and a forthcoming trip to Tahiti. Two rare examples of inter-island mail.
