Two Richard Nixon Letters Signed "Dick" as U.S. Senator; each 10 1/2" x 8". March 19 and May 2, 1952.

Both letters addressed to Mr. Paul C. Smith, Chief Editor of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Nixon writes, in part:

"I thought your front page editorial on Judge Pine's steel decision was tops. I think it stated the case better and more effectively than anything which has been written during the controversy."

Also included are carbon copy replies by Smith, and a December 28 Western Union telegram from Nixon to Smith.
