Lot of three antique firearms:
a) S/N 10150, .45 (Boxer?) caliber, 3” round-flat top barrel, “The Protector” revolver, produced by Webley for W & C Scott, London. Rod for ejecting spent cartridges mounted on side of frame, double action only, “W&C Scott London” on barrel, circled watch tower with pennant on frame, walnut checkered grips. CONDITION: bore is strong with deep rifling, 50% bright barrel blue, 30% frame, 10% cylinder, very close checkering, grips in excellent condition.

b) S/N 449, very scarce .32rf, 4” octagon barrel, L W Pond’s Front Loading single action revolver. Brass frame, steel cylinder and barrel, rosewood grips, small screwdriver tool with brass head on bottom of grip (believe this and lever style cylinder pin release is singular in the early .32 caliber pistols), barrel marked “L W Pond Worcester, Mass. Pat’d Sept. 8, 1863” Early mark omits the later Nov 8, 1864 patent date. This design (front loading cylinder with individual removable steel chambers) was Pond’s attempt at circumventing Smith & Wesson’s Roland White Patent. CONDITION: excellent bore, barrel and cylinder soft silver gray, brass is dark aged, excellent grips, action needs work, cylinder pin broken.

c) S/N 176, L W Pond’s Front Loading single action revolver. Blued finish, two-piece hard rubber grips, circa 1890s. CONDITION: bores are good with black powder oxidation, 10% blue on barrels, frame gray, excellent grips, left “ear” on barrel hinge broken off, hammer works well.
