Both of these companies operated in the Cerro Gordo district near Keeler. The Inyo Cerro Gordo Mining & Power Company took over the properties of the Four Metals Mining & Smelting Company around 1912. The Inyo Cerro Gordo Mining & Power Company incorporated in 1913, while the Cerro Gordo Mines Company incorporated in 1914, with the Inyo Cerro Gordo Mining & Power Company as it's principal shareholder.
