Two Percussion Pepperboxes A) Engraved Robbins & Lawrence Pepperbox Pistol
Produced circa 1851-1854, based on the patent of George Leonard, Junior. German silver blade front and latch groove rear sights, with "ROBBINS & LAWRENCE CO", "WINDSOR.VT" and "PATENT. 1849." in three adjacent barrel flutes and scroll engraving around the breech. Further scroll engraving is present on the frame and latch, with a niter blue cocking ring and a separate trigger. Grips are smooth two piece walnut. Matching numbers on the frame, grips, and barrel cluster.

Condition: Very good plus. The barrels have taken on a reddish-brown patina, brighter on the high points, and the frame shows a mixed gray and brown, with light handling marks and spotting overall. Over half original niter blue remains, with some spotting and fading. Grips are also very good, with mild flaking and dings. Mechanically excellent.

B) W.J. Harvey English Production Pepperbox Revolver with Engraving
Produced by William James Harvey of Exeter, Devon, England. 6 shot barrel cluster, with light engraving at the muzzles, numbered chambers and a series of "crown/ V" and "crown/ GP" proofs on the flutes. The hammer, lock and trigger guard are scroll engraved, with "W.J. HARVEY EXETER" on the left side of the frame, a sliding half-cock safety on top and floral engraving on the screws. Checkered one piece grip, with a silver inscription oval on the rear flanked by "77" and "33", and a steel buttcap with an engraved cap box door.
