For your bidding pleasure are two pairs of North and Judd Spurs with the Anchor hallmark. North and Judd began in 1832 as the "North Company" in New Britain, Connecticut, which made “saddlery hardware” and “tried to satisfy the needs of the rider.” The business grew quickly and was a supplier to the U.S. army during the Civil War and again during the Spanish-American war and even the first World War. In the 1920s, they bought the August Buermann company. Maker: North and Judd.  Approx. Age: Vintage. Size: Heel openings measures 3-1/4 inches. Band widths are 5/8 inches. Shanks are 2 inch and 3-1/8 inches long, including rowels.  Condition: Pretty good for their age, normal wear expected.
