Two Pair of Early Shotgun Chaps. a) A. Ortmayer & Sons, Chicago chaps. Fringed, with great color, early style pockets and small holes on the belt most likely for conchos. b) Collins and Morrison, Omaha, Nebraska chaps. Great cut-out star conchos, long thin fringe. Both pair have some condition problems relating to normal wear, but highly decorative and fine examples of early frontier cowboy gear. Circa 1880s. PROVENANCE: Forth Worth Museum of Science and History. Sale to benefit the collections of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.
