A) The left side of the slide has only the caliber marking (CAL. 7,65) and the right side is blank. Commercial eagle/N proofs appear on the frame, slide, and barrel, with an eagle/37 Nazi military acceptance stamp on the left side of the trigger guard. Two piece checkered grips featuring the Sauer logo on the left panel. The magazine base has the intertwined SS logo.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 97% original blue finish with some minor edge wear and a smooth gray patina on the backstrap, with the front strap thinning to a gray patina. The grips are excellent with some minor scratches and a few minor dings in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

B) Beretta Model 1935 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Nazi Army Acceptance Marking
Manufactured during German occupation of Italy during the Second World War, the pistol has the faintly stamped eagle/162 Nazi acceptance stamp on the right side of the grip tang. The slide has the German occupation legend "P. BERETTA-CAL. 7.65-BREVETTATA / GARDONE V.T. 1944". The left grip tang has a Brescia crown/lion proof and a boxed "MA" on the right side of the trigger guard. The pistol is fitted with the standard metal backed black plastic grips with "PB" emblem and blue finish. Matching serial number on the slide and frame. In Jan Still's book "AXIS PISTOLS", Vol. II (page 107), the serial number of this pistol is not listed as being one of the 19 reported Model 1935 pistols stamped with the rare German Army acceptance proof. It is different than most of the other known examples.

Condition: Very fine. The pistol retains 85% faded original blue finish with some minor edge wear. The grip straps retain traces of blue finish with the balance a brown-gray patina. The grips are excellent with the exception of a few minor scratches. Mechanically excellent.
