A) Fine with 60% of original bluing with the remainder of the finish turning a smooth brown patina. Engraving remains sharp and distinct. There are some traces of the original silver plating in protected areas, otherwise the brass has a pleasing, untouched aged patina. The grips are very good with some high edge wear, a few minor chips in the varnish and a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

B) Period re-plated now showing a smooth silver gray patina with strong traces of silver in protected areas. The frame retains approximately 80% of the silver plating, mostly darkened with age. The exposed brass has an aged patina. The barrel marking is readable, the engraving is crisp. The action is fine.
