A) Dated 1878 on the right side of the receiver, various British proofs on most parts and "NS/NFP" stamped on the left side of the barrel next to the rear sight. Serial number stamped on breech side top of barrel. Standard blade front and ladder rear sights and steel cleaning rod. Mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with cartouches and unit markings on the right side Complete with a leather sling and socket bayonet. The bayonet has British proofs on two sides of the blade.

Condition: Very good as arsenal refurbished. The metal surfaces have smooth brown patina with some finish loss at the muzzle end from the bayonet. The receiver is a smooth patina with very minor pitting. The wood is about good with minor to moderate dents and scratches. There is a pieced repair with a small dent on the left side of stock above the lever handle as well as small dents on both sides of the pin on the forearm. The action is fine. The markings are crisp. The bayonet is in excellent shape with a good shine and few discolorations. The sling is good with minor age cracking and edge wear along with some crude markings on the inner side.
- B) Good. Dated 1887 on the right side of receiver, various British proofs on most parts. Serial number inscribed on top breech end of the barrel. Ramped blade front sight and folding ladder rear sight graduated to 1,200 meters. Mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with numerous letters and numbers stamped into the right side of the stock. Complete with a leather sling, original Pattern 1887 bayonet and cleaning rod. The bayonet has British proofs on both sides of the blade.

Condition: Good as arsenal refurbished. There is mostly a mix of smooth brown patina overall. The receiver is a gray patina. The wood is about good with some moderate dents and scratches. There is a small pieced in repair section on the bottom right hand of the stock near the lever ring. The markings are slightly faint but clear. The action is fine. The sling is good with some minor age cracking and crude markings on the inner side. The bayonet is good with some wear on the leather handle and minor discoloration on the blade.
