Makers name unreadable on the frame below the hammer, "crown/J" marked behind the flash pan and French proof marks and "98" marked on the left side breech end of the barrel. Brass frame, trigger guard, flash pan and butt cap, with bright finished iron remaining parts. Iron ramrod with button head and fitted with a smooth walnut grip. Condition:
Good. The iron parts remain bright with some scattered minor spotting and some discoloration. The brass has an aged patina. The grip is also good with pinned repairs and a few minor dents and dings. The action is very good.

Good. The iron parts have been cleaned and have a bright appearance with some minor oxidation on the top strap. The brass has a mottled aged patina. The grip has been refinished and shows some minor dings and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is very good.
