A) This is a solid example of a 1906 Commercial Luger with the distinctive "AMERICAN EAGLE" crest on the chamber. Directly under the frame serial number it is marked "GERMANY" and it is fitted with a nickel plated Erma magazine with plastic base. The full serial number is located on the frame and the bottom of the barrel. Partial serial numbers are stamped on the small parts, except the hold-open, which is absent. Front sight replaced. Polished lower safety position and "LOADED" marked extractor. Grips are checkered walnut. A pair of small screws have been tapped into the right side of the frame below the rail.

B) Dated 1937 on the chamber. Numbered "27" on the toggle pin, otherwise partial numbers match. Stamped with faint "droop wing" eagle proofs and Birmingham "crown/ BNP" proofs. Grips are checkered hardwood, with straw finished small parts and an aluminum based magazine.

A) Fair, with traces of the blue finish, showing a mottled color overall with areas of brown patina, scattered dents and spotting. Grips are good, with smooth spots and dents. Mechanically very good.

B) Custom refinished, with 98% of the current blue finish, showing light handling marks overall and a slight brown tint to the barrel. Grips are very good, with mild pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
