In this lot we have two large L.A. Huffman photos produced in 1882 and 1904. All of these pictures were taken by L.A Huffman whose work dated from 1878-1920. The Coffrin's old west galleries collection of Huffman negatives is one of the largest in existence today. these negative reproductions are offered to the public in a variety of sizes. Originally started in Miles City, Montana Coffrin's old west gallery relocated to Bozeman, Montana in 1991. The first of these two photos is called "Hot Noon Beside the Roundup." This photo was produced in 1904 with the photo showing a very large roundup of horses and cows near a shallow river with some of the horses drinking from it with many more horses and cows relaxing by the river bank. In the second photo is called "Old Buffalo Hunter's Camp, North Montana, Jan. 1882." This picture shows a man going towards a hut that has been dug into a hill. On top of the hut you can see a saddle, a sheep head, and a moose wood carving. This Hut has buffalo hide covering the entrance and roof to keep the heat in during the cold winter. In front of the hut there is a man approaching with his rifle over his shoulder.
