Two Katar Daggers with Attractive Inlays
1) Silver Inlaid Katar Dagger, with 9 1/2" long, 2 1/4" wide reinforced Damascus blade with silver floral patterns near the hilt. Silver finished hilt with a 3 1/4" long midsection, 5 7/8" support bars and 3 1/4" wide grip bars with flared centers. The midsection is fitted with a pair of doors on each side, one opening to reveal a polychrome scene of a man and woman on horseback, framed with silver bird decorated steel, and the reverse opening to reveal the couple in private, with very little left to the imagination (NOT PICTURED). 2) Gold Inlaid Katar, single piece construction with 8" long, 1 3/4" wide and 1/4" thick near the tip, with 4 shallow fullers on each side and a gold floral panel on each side near the hilt. Fitted with 8" support bars and 2 3/4" grip bars, both showing gold scroll and floral inlay. With a red and green upholstered sheath, showing gold and brown cord on the seam.

Condition: 1) Very good, with a strong Damascus pattern, 80% of the original silver, showing a dark patina underneath, slightly loose hinge pins with a crack in the frame near one, and well executed scenes. 2) Very good. A brown patina is showing on the blade, darker on the hilt, with strong gold inlay. Sheath is fine, with the seam having come undone to expose the wood beneath and some light stains.
