Two Italian Carbines A) Italian Model 1938 Cavalry Carbine with Folding Bayonet
Fixed sight on a barrel marked "GARDONE VT" on top and "940-XIX" on the right. Has a folding bayonet. The stock is numbered to the gun and stamped with a boxed "FAG / 41" cartouche.

Condition: Very fine. The carbine retains 75% original blue finish with extensive pin point pitting (mostly on the barrel and receiver ring). The buttplate has a smooth gray patina with traces of blue. The stock is excellent with some scattered minor dings. Mechanically fine.

B) Scarce Italian Model 1870 Vetterli Single Shot Carbine
This scarce Italian carbine was manufactured by Torino under license from the Swiss firm Vetterli and retains the original single shot configuration. Military tangent rear sight graduated from 300-1000 meters with a blade front sight. Left side of barrel is marked "TORINO" in an oval and dated 1873, with the top having a circular proof. Stock numbered to gun. Complete with bayonet marked "U / 4310".

Condition: Good. The barrel retains traces of original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The receiver retains traces of blue with the balance a mottled gray patina. Smooth brown patina on the trigger guard and a smooth gray patina on the buttplate, both with some minor pitting. The stock is good with some minor dings and pressure marks.
