1) 1878 wagon road from Salt Lake City to Uintah Agency, Utah and Indian Reservation. Topography from Clarence King's Survey, 40th Parallel, except Strawberry Creek and Price River, from Surveyor General Land Office, Salt Lake City, Utah; Route of Road from Notes furnished by Col. E. C. Watkins, Inspector Indian Agencies, Dept. Interior to Lieut. C.A.H. McCauley, 3rd Arty. Actg. Engineer Officer, USA on duty with Ute Indian Commission, October 1878. 30 x 67". Outlines Uinta Indian Reservation and shows hydrography, roads, trails, and railroads of northeastern Utah from the Colorado Line to the Jordan River. Includes southeastern Great Salt Lake, northern Utah Lake, Salt Lake City and Provo. Identifies streams and the location of the Uintah Agency. You won't find this map every day! 2) Topographical sketch showing Observatory Site and Surroundings At OGDEN Utah. George Wheeler. On heavy plate paper (Plate No. 2, Vol. 2 Astronomy). Lithographed map, sepia toned. Shows fields, lots, buildings, and streets with names, etc. Includes profile. Two small rips that do not affect the map. 12 x 15".
