Movie Two-Gun Gunfighter's Fastdraw Rig, consisting of two (2) 1st Generation Colt Single Action Army Revolvers, and a brown leather roughout two-holster rig. (Gun #1) Colt SAA, #314824, .38 WCF cal., original 4-3/4'' two-line addressed barrel, left side eagle carved bone grips, dating from 1909-1920s era. (Gun #2) Colt SAA, #311177, .38 WCF cal., original 4-3/4'' two-line addressed barrel, right side eagle carved bone grips, dating from 1909-1920s era. Holster rig by Walt Goldsmith Saddlery of San Francisco, CA. Goldsmith worked for the Newton Bros. in Vernal, UT before moving to San Francisco, and began making silver-clad parade saddles and leather goods in 1942. This particular rig was probably mfg'd in the late 1940s to early 1950s for movie use, with the rough portion of leather facing outward, and fits sizes 32 to 36, with 12 loops for extra bullets. Condition to the revolvers is very similar retaining small traces of original finish in protected areas, with the balance having silvered and toned considerably. Grips with nice mellow patina and no losses. Actions are crisp, bores are fine. Holsters show light discoloration and staining from use. Est.: $5,000-$7,500/set. (C&R)
