Two Gravity Knives and a World War I Era "42er" Marked Boot Knife

All knives in the lot bear Solingen makers marks. Both gravity knives are 6 inches overall when closed, 13 3/4 when opened, with 4 inch stainless blades, smooth wood grips and 3 1/2 inch folding spikes. 1) J.H. Becker "42er" knife, introduced during the First World War, bearing one of the nicknames of Dicke Bertha (Big Bertha), a super-heavy artillery piece that earned a reputation early in the war as a fortress killer for it's performance against Belgian fortifications. 10 inches overall, with a 5 inch blade bearing an integral single finger guard and 2 1/2 inch sharpened false edge, the Becker makers marks etched on the right and a "42er" marked shell over "Deutscher Brummer/(D.R.G.M.)" on the left. Stag grip, with blackened steel collar and pommel cap. With a steel tipped brown leather sheath. 2) SMF gravity knife, with scarce blue fittings. 3) Paul Weyersberg gravity knife, with nickel fittings.

1) Very fine, with some mild spotting on the blade, a few areas of brown patina on the fittings, and light handling marks overall. The sheath is fair, with some tearing and absent sections. 2) Very fine, with a small amount of brown patina on the fittings and spike, light dents on the grips, and mild handling marks overall. 3) Fine, with scuffing of the fittings, a few small cracks and scratches on the grips, and spotting and handling marks overall.
