Blue 2 cent US IR adhesive stamp. Cut cancel and light soiling. 2) Gould & Curry Silver Mining Co. check. Imprinted Nevada 2 cent (on left border) and US 2 cent (center). Dateline Virginia, April 2, 1870. Signed by Isaac Requa as superintendent. Requa was also once superintendent of the Chollar mine, as well as president of the Central Pacific Railroad, among many ventures. Cut cancel. Clean check.
