Two "General Lee's Boys" CDV's. Two CDV images with Bodue & Miley backmarks, Lexington, Virginia, 1867. After the War Between the States, General Robert E. Lee accepted the presidency of Washington College in Lexington, Virginia and once again found himself a leader of young Southern men. The students captured in these images were members of the Class of 1867 and no doubt were Confederate veterans completing their educations. One CDV shows two fellows, one of whom is wearing the black-striped gray trousers associated with the Liberty Hall Volunteers, which became Company I, 4th Virginia Infantry during the war. The second image shows six students, all of whom are identified on the verso as follows: W.R. Fox of Kentucky, J.T. Harrison of Mississippi, J. Baugh of Tennessee, George Starkey of Kentucky, J.D. Young of Mississippi, and F.V. Grey of Kentucky. One tiny abrasion on the second image, else Very Good condition.

Important notice:</
