A) Manufacturer: Unknown Model: Flintlock Pistol
This pistol is most likely of English origin and features a grouping of four barrels in a stacked formation (two on the top and two on the bottom). To fire the two lower barrels, the hand revolved barrel grouping swivels. The barrels are unlocked by pulling the trigger guard back towards the grip. All iron construction with a floral engraving on the frame sides, trigger guard and grip. OAL: 6 3/4 inches. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

Fair. The pistol has a mottled gray patina with extensive minor pitting overall. Action functions but needs work.
B) Manufacturer: English Model: Flintlock
The frame is engraved and marked "HADLEY" and "LONDON", all in a banner. The pistol has a single hammer with the ability to fire both barrels at the same time or to fire the left barrel only. The right side of the frame has a sliding mechanism which allows the user to place a cover over the right touch hole. The underside of the frame on the right side is marked with the number "3" and two British proofs. The underside of the frame on the left side is marked with the number "4" and two British proofs. The Queen Anne style grip has an extensive silver wire inlaid pattern which incorporates silver inlaid floral blossoms. The silver initial oval is monogrammed and engraved with a small rooster over "AB" inside a garter. The silver butt cap has a raised grotesque face. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

Fair. The pistol has a bright appearance with some scattered mild pitting. The grip is good with most of the silver wire remaining. The silver is very good. Action does needs work as the cocked hammer does not release properly when the trigger is pulled.
