1) 17th century halberd with makers stamp. The forged iron head is 14 1/4 inches long with three sets of piercings. The makers stamp shows three circles in a triangular pattern over a cross. The rough hewn angular oak shaft is 65 1/2 inches long. 2) Germanic 18th century Sergeant's halberd. Has a 14 3/4 inch head with a simple line engraving and punch dot background. 1) Fair, the metal has a dark aged patina with several tips and points broken off and some cracking down the center of the axe head. There is moderate pitting overall. The replacement shaft is very good with some worm holes near the top and some scattered minor scratches and dings. 2) Fair, the metal has moderate pitting overall with a dark aged patina. The protective straps have been ground down. The replacement shaft is very good with some scratches and dings.
